You get full, unfirewalled access to your own IP, as well as a complimentary name.ld.net.au. A number of linux distributions are available preinstalled: Debian (latest stable, testing or unstable versions), Ubuntu (latest LTS & latest release), Gentoo or CentOS. We provide full email and phone support on all our VPS plans, custom OS installations, and you can opt for a free trial before you decide to commit to a plan - just let us know via email after you place your order.

Secure and Reliable
Our virtual servers use hardware virtualisation, which ensures that each server is completely separate from others, so other users can't bring down your server with a system crash or access your data. All our physical servers are also housed in multiple secure co-location facilities, each with redundant air conditioning, uninterruptible power supplies and generators. The facility is protected by three layers of security mesh and is staffed around the clock. We also provide an uptime SLA¹ for your peace of mind.

Complete server management available
A complete server management service is also available on our VPS plans. If you choose this option, your server is assigned to one of our system administrators whose job it is to liaise with you, setup your server to your specifications (including installing and configuring your application) and keep everything running smoothly, securely and up-to-date. Aside from offering a first point of contact, the administrator gets to know your particular application and can tune the system to suit your requirements. ³ If you choose this option, we will register the domain of your choice on your behalf and add it to your bill each period. This means only one invoice to deal with each billing period. We will require up-to-date contact information to supply to the domain registrar; this will be detailed during the signup process. Due to Australia's strict domain name regulations, Australian .com.au or .net.au domains will also require the applicable Australian business ABN, BRN or BN. Domain names must also be an exact match, acronym or abbreviation of the supplied business registration, or it should bear a close and substantial connection to the domain name.

For .org.au or .asn.au domains you must supply relevant charity or non-profit organisation details, and the domain must display a solid relationship to the charity it represents. .id.au domains are specifically for individuals, and you must also supply details proving that the domain you wish to register represents a solid link to your real name.
